Vacuum Carburizing

In response to growing customer demand, VAC AERO has recently commissioned a bottom loading vacuum furnace in its new Tajecina plant capable of offering specialized heat treatment services including vacuum carburizing. The new furnace is designed to provide optimal carburizing conditions by which a uniform carburized layer can be obtained on the details of complex shapes, as well as in deep holes. This process increases the strength of the material and extends the life of carburized components. This type of carburizing maximizes production flexibility, shortens process time and lowers power consumption. It is much more efficient when compared to traditional processes performed in gas carburizing furnaces.

Plasma Spray Coatings

Effective coating solutions require an on-going commitment to research & development and state-of-the-art equipment. This approach has been a key element in the growth of VAC AERO’s coating operations provided to the aerospace and commercial sectors. Complex problems of oxidation and corrosion protection for components that are exposed to harsh service environments require solutions that use the correct combination of coating material and application technique. VAC AERO`s offer a wide variety of coating processes and applications for protecion and restoration of new and service-exposed components both small and large. Thermal spray coatings are applied using robotically-controlled manipulators for maximum coating integrity. VAC AERO Kalisz offers:
- Air-plasma spray coatings (APS)
- Pack aluminide coatings (PAC)
COATING APPLICATIONS:
- Dimensional Restoration and Pure metals and alloys,
- Wear Resistance Tungsten carbides for electrolytic hard chrome replacement and for higher temperature environments,
- High Temperature Protection, and Diffused Aluminide for oxidation and hot corrosion protection,
- Clearance Control Low temperature abradables: Ni/Graphite, Al/Polyester,
- High temperature abradables.
